Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Helps to “Squeeze the Day” to Benefit Make-A-Wish
Sandy Slope Elementary School hosted a new Kickoff to Summer event on Thursday, June 26 that gave Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s Self-Perform interns the opportunity to take the lead on something special.
Hunter Hostettler and Megan Minlschmidt designed and built a custom stand for the school, with its debut event supporting Make-A-Wish Wisconsin.
The project gave the interns hands-on experience in design, construction, project management and community engagement. The stand became the centerpiece of a school-based fundraiser coordinated and hosted by the Milbach family, whose daughter, MaCollin, is a Make-A-Wish recipient and cancer survivor.
With support from Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s Carpentry, Paint and Sign Shops, the team created a cheerful, nostalgic-looking stand, complete with dual-height counters for kids and adults. It made its sunny debut on a cloudy Thursday, with plans to make the lemonade stand event an annual tradition for the soon-to-open school.
